What is the Advanced Diploma in Hypnotherapy

The course is a clear advancement on initial training, leading to an Advanced Practitioner status with the GHR. The student does not have to attend practical training, and as the assessment is ongoing, there is no final examination.

Accreditation

The Advanced Diploma in Hypnotherapy offered by the Oxford School of Hypnosis has been Assessed and Validated at Advanced Practitioner Level by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (UK). Graduates from this course (who have already qualified at Practitioner status via a course either validated by the GHSC at Practitioner Level or its equivalent) are eligible for professional registration with the General Hypnotherapy Register (the GHSC's Registering Agency) at Advanced Practitioner Level.

The Course

The Advanced Diploma is a six-month course, consisting of six modules, in a distance learning format. The student is required to complete homework assignments at the end of each module. The assessment is ongoing, and there's no final exam. The student will have access to support via email and telephone throughout the duration of the course and up to three months after completing the course. The student can commence studies at any time. The aim of the course is to provide new knowledge, skills and techniques, and also to encourage critical and reflective thinking on clinical practice, learning and ethics.

Techniques:

Advanced abreactive techniques; hypnotic regression using the Affect Bridge technique; parts therapy; basic hypnotherapy with children; hypno-coaching; past life regression; transpersonal approach to hypnotherapy

Applications:

Hypnotherapeutic approaches with children; sports hypnosis; hypnotic weight loss surgery; meditative hypnosis; hypnotherapy for cancer patients; hypno-coaching for fertility; workplace hypnosis
